Sonny has passed...
Herb "Sonny" Zatz passed away last week at the age of 78. Sonny was with The Ski Shop, working with Andy, since the late '70s and came along with us from 1998 until present.

Many will remember Sonny as that guy who had skied all over the world. If someone was travelling to Europe to ski Sonny was the man to talk to about where to go, where to eat and how best to prepare for the trip. He had a story for everything!

Sonny loved to make people smile. He would tell you the same joke every day if he knew it would get a laugh. My personal favorite Sonny-ism was when a customer would come to the store on a busy day and approach Sonny saying, "Excuse me, are you free?" to which Sonny would reply, "I'm not 'free' but I'm told I'm CHEAP!" Classic Sonny!

Outside of skiing, Sonny had a vending machine business, he loved to fly with his friend Peter and enjoyed playing tennis with his loving wife Estelle and friends Herb and Rochelle.

We'll all miss having Sonny around to help us. Maybe we can take a little comfort knowing that his last winter was a big snow year and he enjoyed it.

God speed, Sonny. You were one of a kind!
